okay so, i would say i've been busy, which is partially true, but really i've not only been getting a lot of homework, but i've been playing and been fiendishly addicted to Dragon Age: Origins, phenominal game to cut it extremely short. i have been trying to surround myself with fantasy so that i can have something to focus on, rather than going on little tangents that are otherwise unfulfilling. i've also been working on a few abstracts my teacher has been pleased with, i have been getting some very nice feedback form my professors, but for some reason it doesn't quite hit home as much as getting feedback on dA...
i will suggest artists to you now, as i hope that you can obtain somewhat of the same inspiration that i have been recieving from these amazing artists:
Edmund dulac
Ted Nasmith
John Howe
John Bauer
Larry MacDougall (bridge-troll)
i want to shift my focus more to art than personal journals about feelings, though i wont bash that, but perhaps things on this site have been getting to be too much about one's self, and too little about art. though i know very well that art is about "you" and your heart, i would like to cut out things that aren't related to that, BUUUT you know me, i tend to change my mind on a very regular basis.
but if there's one thing i will not do, is stop obsessing with music, as it is so much a part of my art as well as I, so as the season of death approaches, why not try some music from Norway to help get in the mood. Emperor perhaps?
another great band for getting the feel of winter is an american doom metal band little to no-one knows of, Agalloch, they're not always metal, but they have a very nice cold wintry feeling in their songs, some instrumentals, that produce a fine atmosphere, one of the few metal bands that you can chill out to (no pun intended).
i have been indulging in black metal for a while now, as you may know i have been vehemently against it for reasonable reasons, but i have learned much about it, and have come to understand it (though not completely), i just thought i'd let you know so you don't see me as a hypocrite when i submit black metal inspired art.
