Stone Chieftans

Description

from my fantasy universe

Stones is the working name for the land which these as well as many other chieftans rule their tribes. It is called this due to the large standing stones that appear everywhere throughout the land. Nighthawks Fire-breathers, Dread Ravens. Each has their own characteristics, customs, and way of doing battle. They are obviously heavily based on Celts.

Anyway these were a lot more work than I thought they would be : S I'm going to do three or four more. let me know how you like them!!

The great thing about doing fantasy is you don't have to triple check dates and well everything. or worry about someone calling you out on a historical error!

1) Nighthawks fight almost exclusive at night, they are politically reclusive and only fight if it benefits them, meaning that they could support an army you had no idea they were going to support. How well they are able to fight at night is indescribably and has been attributed to magic. Fighting them has not been well documented for good reason. Men and women paint themselves black when fighting.

2) Fire-breathers are one of the oldest and most powerful tribes. Their men unlike any other are focused on earning glory. They get their name from the founding chief who was renowned for his ability to use his tongue: to inspire, slander, or speak wisdom.

3) Dread Ravens rely on cunning, traps, ambushes, and anything that might make one think "that's just not fair". The current chief gained much renown for killing a wolf at a very young age with his bare hands. Their motto is: "Now come the ravens" which is scrawled all over rocks in their territory as a morale damager to invading armies. "Eager to peck out your eyes and feast upon your entrails". they live in the highlands North Western Stones.
